On June 14, the Senate approved – after 13 years of processing – the bill that creates the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Service, which corresponds to a new member of the environmental institutionality that will concentrate the administration of the protected areas of our country. The bill must be approved by the President of the Republic, who may present indications, and then be sent to the Constitutional Court for ex officio control and be published in the Official Gazette to finally become law.
