As of today, January 15th, 2020, the DGA Resolution No. 2,820 dated December 30th, 2019 was published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Chile, which establishes the list of rights to use water for the payment of patents for non-use of these -process 2020- (article 129 bis and following of the Water Code).

The patent must be paid before March 31th, 2020, and its non-payment is sanctioned with the auction of the right to use water through an executive collection judgment.

In the event that the resolution has errors (such as duplication of patents), or that a right has been included that is currently in use, or that takes advantage of any of the presumptions of use of the Water Code, from Its publication, there will be a 30 administrative business days period to deduct the corresponding appeal for reconsideration. This period expires on February 26th, 2020.
