The National Congress has approved the Bill that systematizes economic crimes and attacks against the environment, and modifies various legal bodies that typify crimes against the socioeconomic order. In the real estate field, it is important to consider that the legislator has elevated to the category of economic crimes the facts foreseen in articles 138 and 140 of the General Law of Urbanism and Constructions, provided that the act was perpetrated in the exercise of a position, function or position in a company, or when it was for the economic benefit or of another nature for a company.
