Barros y Errázuriz advised Ameris Capital Administradora General de Fondos S.A. for its investment fund Ameris Infraestructura I Fondo de Inversión, in the purchase made by a subsidiary company, of the 100% of the shares owned by Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (CODELCO) in Sociedad GNL Mejillones S.A., which represents a 37% of the shares of the latter.

The acquisition was financed with an equity investment of US$85 Million made by Ameris Infraestructura I Fondo de Inversión and long term financing granted by Industrial Bank of Korea Hong Kong Branch, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China. The acquisition financing for the transaction also involved our advice.
