B&E advised Laureate Education, Inc in a restructuring process of its corporate structure in Chile, and a subsequent transfer of control of all its educational institutions among which are Universidad Andrés Bello, Universidad de Las Américas, Universidad Viña del Mar, Instituto Profesional AIEP and Instituto Profesional Escuela Moderna de Música.

The legal advice had two aspects that were carried on in a parallel manner: first, a restructuring process of the corporate group in Chile was carried out, in order to define the perimeter of the transaction; in parallel, we advised the client during the buyer´s due diligence process, and in the negotiations that led to the terms and conditions of the transfer of control of Laureate interest in the institutions and related relevant companies.
