The firm advised Ameris Alternativos I Fondo de Inversión in the acquisition of the shares of Penta Vida Compañía de Seguros de Vida S.A. in ten public investment funds managed by a variety of managers in Chile that serve as feeder funds for foreign investment funds.

The transaction included both the negotiation of a purchase agreement for the acquisition of the feeder funds investment and the implementation of an acquisition financing structure through a local law syndicated loan granted by Penta Vida, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones (BCI) and Banco Security.

In addition, our advice included various regulatory matters in order to allow for Ameris Alternativos I Fondo de Inversión investment in public funds subject to the local regulatory agency (Comisión para el Mercado Financiero or CMF) supervision.
