On June 20, El Mercurio published the article “Workers will be able to access the solidarity unemployment fund if they are dismissed after suspension and if they exhausted their individual account”, in which our Labor partner, Juan Cristóbal Iturrate, gives his opinion as an expert in the matter.

The note explains that “a worker could be left without access to benefits once he or she has been disengaged – in the event that his individual account has been exhausted – to the extent that workers do not meet all the highest requirements currently required, and insofar as there is no modification of the requirements of Article 24 of Law 19,728 (Unemployment Insurance Law) “.
