Barros & Errázuriz 2021 Scholarship ended with great success, an initiative that seeks to reward outstanding Law students , who due to various circumstances do not have the necessary support to be able to pay for their studies and properly prepare their Bar Exam.
This year’s winners were chosen by the jury made up of the partners: Carlos Ducci, Carola Trucco, Luis Eduardo Toro, Nicolás Balmaceda, Javier Díaz and Enrique Barros.
1st Place – Camila Rubio, Universidad de Chile
2nd Place – Antonia Martínez , Universidad de Chile
3rd Place – Anita Jaña, Universidad de Concepción
4th Place – Alan Mancilla, Universidad Austral de Chile
5th Place – Ivette Miño, Universidad de los Andes
6th Place – Víctor Herrera, Universidad San Sebastián
The process was led by Carlos Ducci, along with attorneys María Olga Rivera and Valentina Villalobos, who are in charge of the B&E Scholarship Committee. Carlos highlighted how difficult it was to select the winners, as the majority of applicants had the qualities and requirements necessary to receive the Scholarship, adding that it attracted a lot of attention, both to the lawyers who participated in the selection process and to the partners, that made up the jury, the emotional stories of effort and resilience of all the applicants, who with realities of much sacrifice turn out to be a true example of life.
The B&E Scholarship is an initiative that the firm has been promoting for more than 15 years, and that through an economic contribution for those selected, and additionally an internship at the firm for the first two places, seeks to support outstanding young students.
The invitation is made to students of the Law career of all the Faculties of Law of the accredited and recognized Universities of the country, who have graduated in the year 2020. The requirements to apply are people with intellectual concern, leadership, academic excellence and responsibility personnel, who have maintained ethical and persevering attitudes throughout their university career, and who, at the same time, demonstrate financial needs.
